MotorcycleBuild is a disabled-veteran-owned company, founded by Joshua Alexander, a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran with a lifelong love of motorcycles.
Living the problem first
A box shows up. You cut the tape. It doesn't fit. Long before this company existed, Joshua was rebuilding motorcycles from the 90s himself, living that exact moment on repeat. Hours of research. Ordering a part that looked right. Waiting for it to arrive. Finding out it didn't fit. Sending it back. Starting over.
Why this exists
That's the reason MotorcycleBuild exists: to help riders (enthusiasts, DIYers, and first-timers alike) find the right part the first time, not the third.
What this is
A build advisor for Harley-Davidson riders. Tell us your exact bike, your budget, and what you're after (touring comfort, canyon performance, club style) and get a complete build of real parts, each one checked against your bike's exact fitment data before you ever see it.
How we're different
We don't guess, and neither does Your Advisor. Compatibility comes from a fitment database we verify by hand, source by source. Your Advisor's only job is choosing among parts already proven to fit and explaining the tradeoffs. If we don't have proof a part fits your bike, you'll never see it recommended. No exceptions.
Honest by default
Race-only parts are labeled. Parts with conditions are flagged with the conditions. When something doesn't fit, we say so plainly. And if we ever get a fitment wrong, riders can report it. Every confirmed report becomes a permanent test so the same mistake can't happen twice.
Still riding
Joshua is still an active rider today, riding with a group of fellow veterans and showing up at bike shows and motorcycle audio competitions across South Florida, and supporting the local riding community there along the way.
